Extraordinarily, U-KOK head backs a vote for Separation

Blair-Mcdougal-fatA leaden figure within the official anti-independence campaign has caused anger after claiming that a victory for Yes will lead to a divided Scotland.

In an article published on the Better Together website, Blare McDougall, who is the official head of U-KOK, said that a narrow victory for Yes would be "the worst of both worlds" and would leave a "deeply divided Scotland".

McDougall wrote: "Extraordinarily SNP strategists are now briefing that they do not expect to take the lead until days before the referendum.

"Think about the deeper truth that lies beneath that bit of spin: the separatists believe that their best possible result is a narrow victory.

"That would be the worst of both worlds: a legitimate (and I stress the word legitimate) but unconvincing mandate leaving behind a deeply divided Scotland.

"Given the argument I have just presented, there is the only one rational way to avoid the division which would result from a narrow victory: we need an overwhelming endorsement of separation to ensure national unity.

"We are therefore urging all Scots, and Labour supporters in particular, to vote a resounding and unequivocal Yes in September. [Ed: WTF?]
