We are speechless!

By Munnies RanootOur Economics Correspondent

osborne scissorhandsOn a day when the spoof channel at the other quay was reduced to running stories which had positive elements for the separatists, we are reduced to being critical of Westminster.

Indeed, the IMF (Inverclyde Mothers' Federation) has produced searing criticism of the UK Treasury and its Chancellor' inability, to provide growth in the UK economy while the Scotlandshire Executive continues to bring in capital projects which are doing just that.

Depressingly, even Westminster's own Major Projects Authority (MPA) has given 32 schemes a red or amber/red rating, meaning they are deemed unachievable or in doubt.

That the flagship projects to save the Union - the construction of two aircraft carriers, with no planes, are included in the list must make ardent Unonists even more desparate to find some way of saving the Union by keeping Scotlandshire resources in Westminster's hands.

The projects which Westminster itself deems as "being a complete bloody cock up" mainly lie in 'Defence of the Union' areas. They include -

Defence - Watchkeeper - an unmanned aircraft designed to supply intelligence and surveillance for the Army
Defence - two Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft carriers
Defence - new IT system for the MoD
Transport - West Coast Mainline rail refranchising
Justice - new IT system to manage back office functions
Home Office - new system to manage passport applications
Office for National Statistics - a new accounting system
Office for National Statistics - improving the department's website

If Westminster can't even get the ONS working properly, to fix statistics in the UK's favour, what hope is there?

No wonder separatist Crawford Beveridge, Chairman of the separatist government's council of economic advisers has accused the chancellor of "bluffing".

Scots can be hopeful, however, that when they vote No, a year later the South East of England will decide to elect a Labour minority government and a Labour Chancellor will solve all problems.

After all, Darling got everything right when he was last in that post!
